Modern music, threads, & branding trends.

Music for the consumer & fans alike through measured consumptions have been a predictive result in taste of sound & this observation has been tried & worked well in the industry's younger years. Fast forward pase mtv culture even on to the digital era, consumption of music as we all know now have been just another commodity, when once, a necessity. I say commodity because its selective audience of few rest on the privileged people to be that versed in the know that they know who to look out for. I became a music fan again & again over time and have noticed its serving purpose change from the days of tape to cd soundtracks to movies, concerts in dvd formats, to mp3 downloads & now free streaming.I am sure people still follow certain artists but best to say its from real afficionados of genuine music fans & most truely are well just happy with following a certain playlist more so than a singularity of interest. So where are the people turning to as far as recorded music? A lot are happy seeing a concert and an iMusic account & that suits them fine. So, now that revenue from music are selectively controlled & not too many are winning whether you are an independent or major artist/act? & dying age old established companies are all feeling it. The reason of reason itself also lays within that crowd of people who failed to act on forecast duties though you couldn't pin it all to music executives alone. Technology sky rocketed and it was all simple to believe that everyone would play it fair and square. Yet, due to a differing design basis of business, laws of the old business model, couldn't have been less invalid due to internet technology. Especially in the music industry. Due to early years of undiscovered technological advances in computer culture & related tech developments, we watched a bunch of it unfold though sadly the waiting period of knowing how to adapt the rapid change ate us all. Not even your streaming business providers were held accountable for the lack of governance to its product suppliers. & they abused this particular opportunity knowing that they had the the front page of music business presentation. & it was sour when reporting day came. So, this was the direction the music world went by & is in need of rehab. The solution? Nothing concrete less than proper inspiration to believe in the human spirit especially when it comes to the arts. As well as a reinvigorated belief that music do and with wider eyes open can still bring solutions to its consumer.

What the technology surge means to the creative.

You've heard it before but it doesn't mean we all get the final picture. For the creative arts industry & record business, technology advancement has dictated our attitudes to our craft & what limits we put on our practice/s. For the artist, its been a great step up in terms of access to recording technologies not needing to much more than a soundcard & a computer. But, what it meant for the business is an out-pour of recorded works that diminished in demand strictly due to volume. Hence, the lack of what the current demand is also dictated the worth of even the best of artists in the recording industry that led to under-valued price tags just so streaming platforms can get their feed. That's ok with me for I have only really knew how to get by doing my own thing. But to the greats, its big business lost. & now, we all have grown to accept it. & it breaks 'fairness & due credit' where its due & really sad to have functioned on the dragon&

Assess your fears & redirect the course of your life.

The business of doing & simple daily practices that enhances productivity.

What's productivity? How do you define its measure? How do you view it based on your priorities? What decides where you put your focus, time & energies on? These questions are what we most often quietly ask ourselves in our subconscious though often times, due to debris, fail to hear our most distinct voices as we are choked by the things & concerns of this world. My field of interest (sometimes a little obsessive, which is ok), being the general creative industries, specifically in music, its very difficult to see things as they appear & personally, I pray everyday to gain clarity within it all as a daily creative. We are in the age of free media, & for the musician, that's generally not what we want. Its not reasonable to pursue the record industry due to exhausted business models caused by the internet. On the other hand, its the most important thing in my life, though however questionable. Not because there's no income from it, but just because of the bu
